I am John Bodziak, an artist and designer based in London. I design imagined interiors and create cinematic images of them, bringing together architecture, furniture, materials, light and composition.

My work begins with classical spaces. Within them, I explore how different objects, colours and forms can change the character of a room. Designing the interior and shaping its image are closely connected parts of my practice.

Interior Portraits grew out of this personal exploration. Returning to the same architecture and developing different interpretations helped me understand my own preferences and what I wanted to express. The images shown here emerged through that process.

I now invite others into this way of working. You bring your ideas, preferences and imagination. I interpret them through my own design approach and visual style, and we develop the portrait together through your responses to each image.
